The famous plane discussed here, and now there are decals on the Authentic P-40 in Russian Sky sheet,

It is an intriguing conversion, and when I bothered to look in this book

US Aircraft in the Soviet Union and Russia
http://www.amazon.co.uk/US-Aircraft-Soviet-Union-Russia/dp/1857803086

Which I got cheap recently, I was surprised to note that I had completely failed to  register that there are drawings of the additional fuel tanks and a side drawings showing the outlines of the new internal parts page 94-95

the drawings is frustrating in that it's labelled in handwritten Cyrillic to small to read, but a better version must exist?  I presuem this might turn up on some Russian website?

there is a photo of the starboard rear fuselage and tail, showing the camaera doors and clear signs of a rear fuselage respray.

It's not easy foe me to do scans at the moment or I'd add these here.

A 2-seater photo-recon P-40!!!  Shocked
I would LOVE to get more info on that bird, especially on the camera(s) fit, and other mods to it.

Hi Larry

the plane  in question is this one(looks like I  forgot to add a  link, I'll  have to  search it up)

It was originally  thought to  be a UTI (two  seat  conversion) but the camera was in the rear position,  as I say  the  drawing is not that clear.

Colours are probably  VVS repaint in AMT-7/11/12.

cheers

it is Massimo, but  the link is slightly wrong

I'd scan internal  drawings, but no  scanner set up Sad

sadly they are not quite clear  enough to really make out the details, and  I don't read understand Russian.

Hi,
you're right about the link, I've corrected it.
Maybe you could try to photograph the page of the book? It would be deformed, but could be interesting waiting for something better.

Does anyone know the meaning of the P-40EF designation. I have seen "F for Foto" which sounds like folk etymology to me, especially as the plane is a P-40K not an E. I suspect the "EF" is something else translated.
A translation of the text of this somewhat cartoonish drawing may help (or not).
