Hi Massimo,

It's knows the yellow is the axis color. VVS units usually awoid to use yellow.

Have you any evidence for some your profiles of Il-2?

1. The bands of 59 GShAP looks white at the photos.

2. 10 ORAP may be light-blue?

3. Same doubts about 225 ShAD.

4. 66Milos Cobras of 212 giap probably wrong yellow too. Sadly, photos are still absent.

Thank you and 66milos for the great works!

Hi Vlad,
thank you for your questions.
The bands of 59 gshap are described as yellow by the veteran Boreiko http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/pilots/boreiko/boreiko.htm
besides they appear darker than the white slogans overposed to them on some photos.

The marks of the plane of 10 ORAP could be light blue. Anyway their shape is such that it's impossible to see them without seeing the red stars, so I don't think that it could have caused friendly fire.
The plane on the background has a white band, If you have informations on this, please let me know.

The same for the plane of 225 ShAD.

Regards
Massimo
