Hi all, a modeller asked me for a Gunze, Tamiya o Mrpaint match for A-14 grey. Who can give some advice? Another thing: there was a topic with a wide work of Spitfire comparing AKAN color chips to similar chips of other brands. I an't find it any more. Who can help me? Regards Massimo

Hi Dennis, thank you for linking these pages. They could be useful to the modeller that asked it. Now I think that we could try to make a match table for Soviet colors, maybe collecting experiences that have already be done by other modellers. Do you know pages related to this?
Regards Massimo

Hi FB, yes, it is the proper paint. I still think that we have to collect datas from already published posts to make a table with the matches of many brands. Regards Massimo

Hi again, there was a lengthy discussion on a French Website about model paint for VVS subjects, I cannot find it now on the internet I only have a WORD copy of it but I do have the table that came with it, though I cannot verify it's accuracy. Will look for more Cheers Dennis

Hallo Massimo,
Do you need a sample range from the Mr. Paint?

Hi, some chips you mean? It would be very interesting to photograph them aside the closer paints of other brands. Thank you for your offer. Regards Massimo

Dennis, I have some old photographs of paint samples that I believe you did, if you have problems finding your copies.

Hi, thank you for the table, surely it helps. Anyway, I suppose that thre chips of Akan (at least, I don't know about Valleyo) are obtained with the digital conversion into RGB with the method we've discussed a month or two ago; if so, I fear that their visualization on a screen doesn't give the right idea. Please, let me know if my supposition is right or wrong. I would try to make as Dennis did, photographing chips side by side on the same photo or scan and using these images as a base for the chips to visualize. I'll have to scan the FS colors too for an homogeneous comparation. Regards Massimo

Hi, unfortunately I did not follow that discussion, I collected the data, with the Eye Dropper for Chrome extension from Akan and Hataka sites and from the Valllejo catalog. I realize that is not the best, but at least I've listed the product codes indicated by the companies, and the sheet I made can be commented, updated, by anyone even anonymously. Please give me a link to the topic you mentioned? Greetings
