Colibri decals is a russian company from Novosibirsk. Their site:
https://colibri-decals.ru/index_2

I just (literally just) got (among a couple AVD trucks and some other decals) 2 ww2 decal sets from this company trough an E(vil)bay store in Latvia. Here is a little preview. I litteraly just got the box with goodies before starting this and checking of sites mentioned below:

Colibri decals 72042 Il-2 of first series
Set is nicely done and is IMHO based on KHHM well known site  Grin filled with pic's, colour profiles and info on these planes:
 http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/il-2/il2-camo/il-2early1941/il2-early1941.htm

So what do you get on rather small decal sheet:
- one set of 6 small red stars (wing upper + lower and fuselage ) and tail numbers for following planes:
- 4. ShAP white 2/5, 4/2, 6/3, 3, 5, 10 and red 2 (red and white under decal separate)
- 61. ShAP white 1,2,3 and 4

White on decals is quite dense so some drybrushing of decal with green will be necessary to make them as almost transparent as on most of real planes. Instruction sheet doesn't go into details of wooden or metal fuselages but details on this are on the link.

This decal sheet is a bit different from the one i got but it seems the difference is only in position of items on decal sheet:

Ever since i read Emelyanenko's book 25 or so years ago i wanted to make one of those early 4. ShAP single seaters (slovene translation from mid 80's also had addenum of almost 1/3 of the book with references explaining the slang, mannerisms and procedures of ww2 VVS and RKKA and russian in general) so when i saw them on E(vil)bay i fell on them like a ton of bricks and i'm not sorry.

Colibri decals 72043 I-153 of 71. IAP VVS KBF
Set of 5 different types of stars all with white under decal for white surround are included even tough none of the planes depicted in this set have white surround on stars (gifted horses and all - will be usefull on some of my Il-2's tough). This was a bit of suprise considering it is very different as on the decal sheet posted on their site (look below). It seems i got either early or later version of their decal sheet (similar to their Il-2 sheet). Bort numbers are for following planes:
- white 88 lt. Yakushev B.V. summer 1942,
- white 24 kpt. Solovyev K.B. summer 1942
- white 45 summer 1942
- white 50 kpt. Baturin A.G. summer 1942
- white 75 summer 1942
- white 93 august 1942
- white 102 maj. Boskup P.I. Lavansaari summer 1942

Painting instructions give only one side profile except for white 24 and 102 where both profiles are given and also 2 possible (generic) top profiles are given. Colour profiles of 93 and 102 are almost identical to ones on site referenced below, while white 24 is similar but there are few differences.  Stars are marked from 1 to 5 and there is a list of which stars go where on which aircraft. Also some bort numbers are marked as left or right side of fuselage.
This well known site would be invaluble as reference:
http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/i15/i-153/tapani/71iap-kbf/71iap-kbf.htm

this seems is from earlier/later version set and is not the decal sheet that i got (look description - i was also a bit suprised):

I only have experiance with decals from this company in shape of one of their 1/72 decal set for T-34/85. They looked good on the model and i didn't have any problems with them. Hope you find this short preview usefull.

Hi,
nice to see these sheets. Thank you for reviewing them.
This one is interesting too:

I hope that the work on SB will give further inspirations to decals producers, when it will be published.

Hi Massimo,
AFAIK the guy who is behind Colibry Decals is Igor Zlobin. I time ago I communicated with him regarding Pokryshkin's Cobra http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/board/index.php?topic=1367.msg9650#msg9650 Hence so beautifull profiles on his decal sheets.

Sets of decals for the early IL-2 72042 and 48011 result of the work on the article by Mikhail Timin on the combat operations of the regiments in June-July 1941.
http://warspot.ru/5852-tyazhelyy-debyut-letayuschego-tanka

In English the article was published in the journal FLyPast in June 2016.
According to the analysis of pictures in the manual, the locations of stars and serial numbers are indicated, as for the division by type of bodies into metal and wood, it can in principle be seen in the figures, although it is possible to specify separately in the instructions.

For example, the set 72044 and 48010 are completely dedicated to the participants of the 67 IAP battles, the description of the June 41 bouts was published in Mikhail's articles in the journal Aviation and Astronautics 2016 06 («Авиация и космонавтика» 2016 06)
Short description http://warspot.ru/6419-lozhka-meda-v-bochke-degtya

Changes in the location of the elements on the decal are associated with small displacements of two colors, in our case red and white along the border of the stars - 72043. On stars with a black stroke, it is not visible due to the black border closing. It is for this reason in the set 72043 that the white base of the stars is given separately from the red to independently reduce them to the model.

Since all the time there is new information, it is necessary to add something to the decals. So it was with the set 72008 SB-2 SB-2 M-100 / M-103 for the model ICM. After its release there were pictures showing that the plane left in Borisov with the number 5 has a red fringing of the number and identification stripes on the wings, so another sheet with these designations was added. And they can always be taken from me if you have an early set.

The decals themselves are printed in a well-known firm Behemoth in a small print run and the quality I think is known to the modelers. So for today unfortunately there are no correct numbers for La-5f / FN / La-7 planes made with two types of fonts and with three edging (red, black, blue) 72001.
Best regards

Hi Igor,
I would like to retun to neverending story - story about Pokryshkin's P-39 "White 100" at http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/board/index.php?topic=1367.msg9377#msg9377
Here is your original picture - you intentionally deleted red spinner and red cap on the tail:

Your comment:

However, this is your decal sheet with Pokryshkin's P-39 "White 100" and red spinner is back again:

Is there any other info confirming red spinnner except this photo?

Hi
Let's extend the discussion on this aerokobre on its page.
Our discussion will go beyond the discussion of the decals.
Приветствую
Давайте продлим дискуссию по этой аэрокобре на ее стронице. Наша дискуссия выйдет за пределы обсуждения выпускаемых  декалей.

Friends, start work on decals on I-16 type 24 and type 28 in 48 scale.
Maybe there are wishes for coloring the decals?

Hi Igor,

Maybe a set of silver stars for the aerobatic team "Krasnaya pyaterka"

In a movie of 1943:

Probably 3 shades camo:

G. Tsokolayev of 13 IAP VVS-KBF

During maintenance:

Lake Ladoga, december 1941:

Sorry if they are well known photos, it is possible that Tapani and me start researches and profiles on this type within one or two years.

Hello! MassimoIn the above pictures there is only one I-16 type 24, it's number 21.
Is there any confirmation on other planes that this is type 24?
On a silver star, you have to think ...

Hi Igor,
the door on the right side was of type 24, 28 and 29. 28 has big guns. 29 should have a UBS between the landing gear bays, that were spaced between. Besides many 29 had a radio mast, I don't know if all of them.
Some further photos are here http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/i16/i16painting/I16painting.htm and here http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/i16/i16painting/I16painting-war.htm
