Does someone know this plane ?

Самолёт Кутихина Якова Назаровича командира 247 ИАП
Aircraft Kutikhin Yakov Nazarovich commander 247 IAP

What type of yak it is: 1 7 9 ?
The colors of the camouflage?
plane could be white with green mottles?

Interesting - it's a Yak-1b. Usually illustrated in green/black camouflage, with bort no.47 on the port side in place of the eagle, and also the HSU marking on the cowling:

Absolutely amazing photo Xan,
yes, it is green (and perhaps black) over white, presumably in spring 1943.
Hi John, thank you for the link.
The photos are a bit strange, particularly for the red stars and arrow that seem to have strange repainting inside.
Considering the date and pattern, the plane could be painted or repainted with greys, probably after having been painted with the black-green camo for some time.

I saw that photograph on Facebook. Very interesting camouflage. Is that enough for a profile, Massimo?

Hi Jason,
if we assume that it is the same plane of the photos with the camouflage of August, one can make a try.
At present time, I hope that Misos will start a new page of profiles of Yaks some day, in consideration of the fact that he has templates already.

Let's hope he does this one. He did some beautiful Yak profiles for my fighter book; he posted his work here on at least some of them.
