I found this on another forum - it has a "comic book" appearance, but it's a pretty neat summary of colours and camouflage for anyone who just wants a basic easy-reference.

Okay, hit me - I overlooked some errors - brown/green camouflage on the Il-2, AII colurs on the "Early War Camouflage" instead of AMT after June, 1941, probably some others. I wonder if the author would be willing to make corrections...

Hi John,
apart for the EP-style errors, the idea of a simplified diagram isn't bad, I could easily do one.

Yes, that's a good idea, although you probably have lots of other tasks to keep you busy. It would tie in well with the "Painting standards evolution" page.

Hi,
I've uploaded a quick guide to the painting.
http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/colors/quickguide/quickguide.htm
It is not at all as quick as other ones, but it is certainly better.
To be more useful, one should make a table with color chips comparison, a very big work. Something has already be done in the past, but not a definitive work.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Thank you, I'm happy that it is appreciated. Now the big work would be a table of matches. Some partial works have already be done, the problem is not only to collect it (with credits) but also to check the consistence between different matches of the same color.
