812th IAP logo seems interesting to portray on a model.
But all I can find is green/black cammo birds:

source: ava.org.ru

What I'd like to know is, are there any grey/grey -9Ts of this unit, that can be confirmed wearing this 'winged star' emblem on the nose?

Thanks,
Aleksandar

"Dragons on Bird Wings" by V. Antipov and I. Utkin includes two colour profiles of 812 IAP grey/grey Yak-9T's with the 3 IAK winged star nose emblem, so they must have existed. These aircraft have a slightly different, so-called "Crimean era", version of the emblem with more red in it than the ones in your profiles, but...

Hi,
here is a profile and photo of Yak-9K of this unit. I don't know if it is the same for your needs.

Some great references there - 20+ pages of Yak-9 profiles on airfield.narod.ru? I like it a lot! And an excellent page on 812 IAP! Thank you!

Again I wonder when some brave kit manufacturer will release a whole series of Yak-9's in 1/72. Modelsvit seems to be doing a good job on 1/48.

Thank You all for very useful profiles and photos.
It seems the emblem was adapted to a 'red-er' version once they switched to grey-grey scheme.
