Is any info available on Migs of the Naval Air Forces?  Online info is basically non-existent for the Soviet navy air units; can only find info after the Soviet collapse.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,
MiGs of the second world war, you mean, or of more recent time?

Hi Massimo,

I thought posting in the jet age forum would imply Mig jets; I guess I should have been specific.  I can't find anything specific to naval aviation regiments equipped with Migs post war, or any jets of the Soviet navy before the breakup of the USSR.  Years ago I found a soviet movie about an air regiment which happened to be a naval unit equipped with Mig-15s, or so I thought based on the dark uniforms and cap insignias.  I can't t find that now.  Maybe bort number font and colors are common to army, navy, and air defense aviation?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi,
I suppose so. I have never seen MiGs with something specific for the navy.
Regards
Massimo
