Hi,
I've added a page on Soviet-operated DC-3 and C-47 accessible from the same page of Li-2.

http://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/li-2/li-2.htm

The part on the Li-2 itself should be revamped, but I think that this will be made slowly. It's still a work in process.

All pages have profiles of Tapani Tuomanen.

Two samples:

BTW, mr. Zolotov told me: he will publish a book about Li2 soon.

Nice to see these profiles and information added to the Li-2 section!

Best Regards,

One of the planes looks to have a strangely painted spinner.
I'm uncertain on the camouflage, if there are really three colors on the uppersurfaces.

Small update for the C-47 page:

https://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/li-2/tapanic47/c47.htm

Alexey Matvienko has sent a screenshot showing the serial of an interesting C-47A.

This was previously unknown to us:

I hope that Tapani will make a profile of this nice plane from these images.

Best regards
Massimo

I might have saved these images from another thread on this site.
So long ago I don't recall??? I do remember that the thread had named the general and it was his private plane if I recall correctly?

Interesting. I've still the impression that the engine cowlings aren't of the same color of the whole plane.
