As for the translation of Arat, my latin class memories are very dusty, but "aratur" is connected with agriculture. At least, in french, we have the word "aratoire" refering to farming instruments and I sense a common root somewhere.

re the colors, It's been a trial and error process, and I finally decided for a recipe I found in this very forum, from my French colleague Xan, about mixes of RLM 65 with black and a touch of blue.
I was mostly concerned by contrast between AMT 11 and 12, as on most B&W pictures the contrast is quite low between these 2 hues.
Next in the row, a GWH MiG 29 and ICM MiG 25 - and a LaGG 3, possibly.
