Two questions what kind of Yak is this and is that a dragons head nose art under the cockpit? It looks like a hand is grabbing the top of it's snout.

Look like 3s - forward cockpit, rounded fairing to radiator, clean nose.

But what about that Gustav?  Interesting camouflage, from what's visible.

Its interesting as well only info in the link it says at a captured airfield.

Interesting, but I suspect that the photo was defective and repaired by Photoshop. For example, look at the plane partially hidden by the tail of this Yak-3; one would expect to see the landing gear under it, but I can see the ground only. There could be another reason, of course. It would be good to find the original one and a better scan of it.
