here is a detail of an image of Yak-7.

The camo is strongly contrasted, so one would consider this as black/green camo.
The black outlines of the star are well visible even on the (supposed) black camo. Shocked
What do you think of this?

Layers of black paint have different thickness and dencity.

This is likely.  Smiley But this would mean that a light (trasparent) layer of black is not fully black even when it is fresh. So, what is the underlying transparing color? An uniform layer of green, yellow putty  or what else? Huh
