The latest Aeroplane magazine (February 2008) has a 21-page "Database" feature on the Polikarpov I-16; Mikhail Maslov is credited as the author. Divided into four parts:
- Development/Type History
- Production/Technical Description
- Early Combat (Spanish Civil War and Mongolia)
- WW2 and Survivors/Great Patriotic War

Includes one page of line drawings and 3 profiles. The main feature I liked is a half-page description of "type" details; although these are not illustrated with drawings, they can probably be related to drawings in Maslov's I-16 book, or to the drawings on the hobbyvista VVS site.
