Hi
Having sought out a curious SMER 1/50th Ansaldo SVA 5 (boxed in RCW markings -Soviet), basically I'm looking for any profiles/artwork of same. Wings Palette has none listed for the RCW, all are Italian or whatnot, save one for Luthuanian SVA 10(?)
Anyone aware of any more info on possible soviet examples, please?

Hi Ioaea  , I've found only a profile of a Soviet A.1 on Red Stars 3, and a page in German on the use of Ansaldo A.1 and A.5 in an old DDR book, with an image of an Italian one. Nothing more.  Massimo |

Hi Ioaea, the profile of A.1 on Red Stars shows wood brown sides and light brown fabric rudder, and strange red stars looking as red flowers on a white circle. Not the same thing of the drawing of the box. How is the Lithuanian one? Massimo |

This fine Ansaldo model will forever be Italian -good test case for my burgeoning 'make plastic look like wood' routines in any case, which are now nearly passable. Still, makes you wonder where the manufacaturers found the inspiration for that box art. Any chance of one of your photoshopped scans, Massimo of your Red Stars reference? |

And after all your help, the poor thing is heavens knows where, seeing as it was deposited at the local postal office about six weeks ago. Only just remembered having re-read this thread and I think the post office sends its Did Not Collects to oblivion after a while.
