A post by Michael Naradkov I read on the Scalemodels.ru forum suggests that a walkaround of the I-153 will soon be added, with photographs of the Paris Musee de l'Air's real "Chaika", not the New Zealand aircraft. Something to look forward to!

Hi, Smiley
I've seen that plane with my own eyes at Bourget, many years ago. I've some photos of it, unfortunately rather ugly.

What's the URL for that? I thought it should be listed on this page:
http://scalemodels.ru/modules/photo/viewcat_cid_130.html
...but I don't see it there, or at least, not where it should be, near the I-16 and I-152 in the list.

Thanks , John.
however I was referring to the link about the discussion for the I-153.
not the link to the walk-around section-obviously it has not been added yet.
(but we should remember that link for when it does) Smiley

I found this in one of the threads on the Scalemodels.ru "Polikarpov - King of Fighters" group build forum:

I *think* it's originally from a book by Mikhail Maslov, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it would be very useful for anyone modelling a non-camouflaged I-153. Now if we just had a really good new 1/72 kit from someone like ICM... Wink

Hi, Smiley
the grey color should extend to the metallic parts of wings and landing gear too.
