I am trying to gather as much info on Tu-2 as possible before I start building my model, so I need some help with translating these two pages from "Aviakollekciya - Tu-2 vol 2".

I tried typing the text in Google translator and Babelfish, but it comes out too literally translated and it doesn't make much sense...

Any help is welcome...

I don't know what you mean by 'too literally translated'
do you have this already in text form? (.txt or .rtf)
what about a link from the online translator?
I would be interested in reading it.
have you tried? http://www.online-translator.com? ??

do you know how I could obtain a copy of this book for my collection?

Well, I only tried typing a single paragraph and some jibberish came out... I'll try this link. If it works, I'll post the text here.

Hi,

I have finally translated the text, but with some possible errors.
Here's the link to both documents (original and translated) as well as the scanned pages from the magazine
http://rapidshare.com/files/276914389/Aviakollekciya-Tu-2vol2.zip.html

The possible errors are marked with ((____))

This is the publication from which the pages were scanned (both volumes)

I hope that this will help creating a Tu-2 section on Soviet Warplanes site, as well as inspire some accurate profiles.
Tu-2 has been largely neglected in modern research.

Regards,
Aleksandar

I have reposted them as .doc files, I hope they will work now.
txt files don't support cyrillic text

Thank You ! - it worked that time.

it is interesting that they say that can determine what factory produced a certain aircraft by the paint scheme.
Zavod 166 Omsk  AMT-4/7 (no black seen in any photos)
Zavod 23   AMT-7/A24M/A21M/A32M
and strange that there is no mention of AMT-1/4/7/12 ?

the reference to Naval Tu-2's just might be A33M/A36M ?
