Very interesting:

Needless to say, I've already suggested the Yak-1b and Polikarpov I-153; feel free to join my petition! Wink The e-mail address for RV Resins is:

Hi John, Smiley
very nice subjects.
I made researches abd corrections on MiG-23 kits a lot of years ago, but it's an obsolete work now.
However, I hope that some plastic manufacturer will reproduce these important planes in a decent way, resin kits are expensive for me.

The RV injection-molded styrene MiG kits just appeared in today's Modelimex newsletter as future releases, priced at 26.50 Euros each. Kind of expensive; maybe the price will drop by the time the kits are actually produced.

Also among the future releases (finally!) is the Valom 1/72 late Yak-7B (the "bubble canopy" version). I want this one! Wink

These look really nice.  I wonder if they need a good review?   Wink

I was thinking a lot lately how the modeling industry has almost totally overlooked the whole Cold War era regarding Russian military aircraft.  How can it be in 2009 that there still is NO good 1/48 kit of a MiG-23/27, MiG-25/31, etc.  (And not many good 1/72, either.)  There are some kits here and there, but almost all of them are inaccurate and poor builds, requiring significant "reconstruction" to look right.

I'd trade Hasegawa Bf109 kits for a solid, well-executed MiG-31.  Maybe Trumpeter will do one, since they like the larger scales.

Looks like the RV Resin MiG-23 kits are getting close to being released, according th a post by Radek Vavrina (RV) himself on HS this morning; test shots:

At first glance, the model is very close to the model of "ZVEZDA". Even mistakes of nose partially repeated.

Hello Musa Smiley
Yes it looks similar to Zvezda but it cost 3 times more than Zvezda/Italeri kits:(

Very detailed photos of the RV MiG-23MF kit; may be slow to load:

Looks amazing, but my 2011 wish list is already too big!
