Hi Mario! You had posted a question on HS a day or two ago in a thread about 1/48 LaGG-3 kits - you asked about 1/72 kits, and I don't think you got an answer. I was curious to know about it myself, and I just found this on Scalemodels.ru:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A//scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_23528_start_180.html&sl=ru&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF8

Sometimes the link to translated pages can be a bit buggy, so here's the original Russian version:
http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_23528_start_180.html

The discussion of the Roden and Dakoplast kits is right down near the bottom of the page - the last 8 or 9 posts, with "GoNzA" and "round" asking the questions, and Musa from Prop&Jet providing the answers.

I hope this helps!

Hi John,
Yes, I did, and honestly did not expect much of the answer. "HS regulars" are not that comfortable in VVS matters. Anyhow thanks a lot for the link.
Bottom line Dakoplast is better in overal shapes, dimensions and easier to build. Toko/Roden on the other hand has the advantage of having necessary parts to build all main versions. Well, I'm working on Dako ser.66 and have Roden ser.35. It'll be an interesting comparison.
Cheers,
Mario

For what it's worth, there are now some images of various parts from the not-yet-released, but soon, Fusion 1/48 LaGG-3 resin kit posted on Scalemodels.ru at the very end of the pinned LaGG-3 thread:
http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_1505_start_280.html

It seems that this kit has been thoroughly researched and revised a few times to reflect the results of that research, so (supposedly) it will be the most accurate LaGG-3 kit available. I mention this because some may want to save the images posted in the thread above for reference purposes when building other LaGG-3 kits.

I got a kit of parts. The quality is amazing. Everything is done very subtly and skillfully. Really quite impressive. The only details are so thin that work with them will be very difficult. By the way a set can be ordered by e-mail address: travlenka@mail.ru
