Good news! Thank you for posting, TISO! It looks nice - I'll no doubt be buying one. Now perhaps they can move on to the I-153.
Regards,
Jason

Hi Tiso, thank you for posting. It looks that the pieces for a basic plane are on the main sprue, while the other one has the pieces for the militarized version. I suppose that a training only kit will be released, but I don't see hope to adapt it for the ambulance back. Probably the older kits will have to be kept good for that version. Regards Massimo

Only 70 options! Considering how many Kukuruzniks were built, they should come up with at least 150 options (after all, they came up with 100 for the I-16). Of course, were am I going to put 150 U-2/Po-2's (well, they are small)?
Regards,
Jason

That is the reason i bought IOM-kit U-2. Check lik i provided on first page of this thtread. While that one is on the level of bad knock off of KP kit it does have extra parts for limusin i.e. back with glass canopy (even tough it will have to be improved somewhat), parts for Hydro version (big central and small wing floats), NACA cowling, skies (not that great but still usefull) and bashkiev strecher pods (in only one of new KP boxes (box - P72012) Bashkiev pods and skies are also present and are somewhat better than IOM but these are still usefull). ;)Heh I will make an attempt in future telling. I see in my christal ball that stocks of Pavla sets for M-11 engines and big sets for U-2 together with excellent PART PE sets will become somewhat limited commodity.

Do you think that the resin sets will be useful for the ICM kit too? Regards Massimo

It was more than 100 options. However, due to the large size of the decals had to part (about half) of the options to the civil registration, cut.

Well it always comes usefull. BTW Pavla has 2 M-11 engines. One IMHO copied from Ne-Omega (seperate cylinders) and one in their resin sets and model kits (UT-1) that is one piece. As for bigger Pavla U-2 set it consists of engine, cowlface, 6 bombs (type is rather mystery to me) and their racks, 2 MG's (ShKAS and DA), propeller, skies and wheels. Usefull in any case: U72-30 Polikarpov Po-2 set: E72-04 Engine Shvetsov M-11 for Po-2

As seen on Britmodeller forum: 1/72nd - Polikarpov U-2/Po-2 (100% new moulds)100% new moulds? I thought that their current release is excellent, apart from wrong-turning prop...
