a clear sign how ephemeral web sites are (the Way back machine is sometimes of use but frequently only has the home page archived and seldom more ? though there are exceptions). It is a good thing to download interesting sites but this can be a laborious task.

Back to Spanish Civil War pages - H?kan Gustavsson needs no intro to those interested in avaition of war. On his web site he has also a section devoted to the Spanish Civil War.

My three SCW Polikarpovs: RZ (Special Hobby reshaped to Maslov drawings), I 15 (Azur) and I 16 type 5 (A model).




He the shorter chord of lower wing is clearly seen

And here one can see difference in the rear of fuselage and tail compared to SH kit

Reshaped was aslo tailplane

The whole reshaping work was presented on Britmodeller forum but it is also on my Flickr nearby those photos linked above.

Hi Jerzy,
the images can't be seen. You have posted urls of pages as if they were images.
You can change the links from images to hyperlinks, or replace the url of the page with the one of the photo (it has to end in .jpg).

I've modified your post replacing img with url, now they function as links to the pages where your photos are. I didn't find the direct url of the photos in your page, perhaps the owner is allowed to. It has to end with .jpg.

very nice collection. It is good to see that you cover themes of historical interest in such wide way.
Surfing on your flickr page, I see models of Bugarian and Finnish planes too.

Hi Massimo,
I did  on;y one SB-2. It is in SCW colours from Barcelona, 1938. This was some 45 years ago.... This is old Frog kit (original one, not Novo) - by chance currently ICM gived the same scheme in box.  Recently i made some small repair to it and I hope it look a bit more fresh but it is very far from perfect.


I have two more (SH M103 and ICM M100) in stash . I want to do one of them as USB trainer. Likely I will by a next ICM to have both variants of M103 engines (one from SH second by scratch conversion on ICM.
The ICM kit looks much better in box then SH, but we will see how they will go...

Hi J-W,
seems that the old kit of Frog is reasonably accurate as a shape, that is surprising for its age. For comparison, the contemporary Il-2 of Airfix was completely wrong in wing and tail plant.
I have the same kits still to build, but the SH is wrong as fuselage cross section, too wide and round. Eventually you could hide this a bit by converting into a USB, because the thing is particularly visible at the joint with the front glazing.  I was considering to mix the wings of SH and the fuselage of a Novo with vacuformed glazing to make a 103 with pointed engines, and build the ICM as a Czech one, more or less out of box.
I am also considering if engines (spare) from a Pe-2 can be adapted to an ICM kit.
