Great links, John - thank you!  I suppose this means that once I've finished my Hobby Boss IL-2 I need to get back to my kitbash I-153 and an ICM I-16 tip 28 I've started on.  I hope we eventually see that new R-5 in 1/72nd scale (and the new I-153).
