This well-known photo represents an Il-4T of 9th Gv.MTAP, North Sea Fleet, on May 31, 1943. Under the fuselage, the torpedo and its parachute pod are well visible.

The plane wears the green-nosed variant of the green-black camouflage with light blue undersurfaces. Red starse present on the fuselage sides and, presumably, under the wings, while the red stars on the tail have been overpainted with green and black camo. The paint appears rather gloss.
