Drawing of Tapani Tuomanen

This Il-4 of 4th MTAP (Minelayer and Torpedo Bomber Air Regiment) , Eastern front, August 1945. The available photo suggest that it was camouflaged according to the style introduced in August 1943. Some profiles report the number as white or blue-white. Our guess is that the number is red with white outline.

According to the same template of NKAP (the Ministry for the Aereonautical Industry), the colors for this type should be dark green, light brown and black (not dark grey); A-21m, A-24m, A-26m, A-28m paints were utilized on the metal surfaces, while the fabric covered surfaces were finished with the equivalent AMT -1, 4, 6, 7.
