Drawing by Tapani Tuomanen

This drawing reproduces this DB-3, red (?) 1, captured by Germans probably at the war outbreak in summer 1941. Unit and place are not known.

The camouflage pattern looks to have at least 3 shades on the uppersurfaces; they could be matt green (AMT-4 or A-24m), black and a lighter shade that could hypothetically be AMT-1 light greyish brown. Note the absence of red stars both on the tail and on the wings uppersurfaces. The left engine looks missing.
