DB-3T n. 5 was the plane of Colonel E. N. Preobrazhenskiy, 1st MTAP, KBF, that led the attacks on Berlin of August-September 1941, taking part in all 10 flights. He became Hero of the Soviet Union on August 13, 1941.

The plane is a narrow-canopy one, with light mottles of unknown color overposed to what seems a black-green camouflage. The undersurfaces look light grey.
