A known photo shows a battle alert in an unidentified fighter unit at Tikhvyn ar base, Leningrad region, in December 1941.

Three planes are recognizable: n.10, n.7 and n.2.

They seem to bear the AII green- AII light blue livery introduced in 1940. The prop bades of n. 7 and 2 are repainted black on their front, while the blades of n.10 has the original silver front face. All planes seem to have M-62 engines.
