Yak-1 plane of Yakov Zakharovich Slepenkov from 21 iap VVS KBF photographed
during the winter 1942/43 in overall white camouflage on the upper surfaces:
According to the NKAP order the matt white paint had to be applied in the very
thin layer allowing original black/green camouflage to shine through it rather
than giving the overall homogenous white painting.
The picture in the full resolution should be published in the book Soviet Fighters
of the Second World War by Jason Nicholas Moore.
