Lt. Semion Ivanovich Rogovoi participated in combat within 64 giap, part of 4 giad, from October 1944 until end of the WWII. He achieved five aerial victories. Sailors of Amur Fleet donated him this plane for his participation in saving their vessel.
The plane is camouflaged in standard blue grey AMT-11 and dark grey AMT-12
on the upper surfaces and light blue AMT-7 on the under surfaces according to
the NKAP 1943 order from the summer 1943.
Personal marking “Semenu Rogovomu” was painted on the both sides
of the plane. Red star on the fuselage had probably a silver outline.
Sign of the 1 giak of the Red Army Air Force were two inclined white stripes
on the tail. The divisional marking of the 4 giad was red propeller spinner.
