I had a look to a built Il-2 of Zvezda on M-Hobby 12/2020 and was a bit disappointed, because it had metallic ailerons with counterweights that are hardly compatible with the type of wing of 1942, that should have fabric-covered ones without counterweights on them (other counterweights were anyway in front of the wingtips). I wasn't able to understand if it was a modification of the author of the article, or the kit was built out of the box. a twoseater version of this kit has been announced on M-Hobby. For what I see on the thumbnail, it seems the version of early 1943. I hope that it will have options for late 1943 version (new canopy, radio mast and rocket rails). Regards Massimo |
