good news for all of you that make 1/48 scale models.
On the 5th of June, Zvezda has announced in its Facebook account at
https://it-it.facebook.com/Zvezda.ModelKits/ the production of a new tool Il-2 single-seater, presenting several 3-D images.
From the information that I have, not only it is a completely new tool, but the designer of the kit has been helped by many Russian enthusiasts, including people involved in the restoration of real planes.
So there is the possibility of having a very accurate kit produced.
That it can be so, is confirmed by Jason, which has said from the pictures: “got the link ejector chutes done correctly, something that even Tamiya did wrong”.
As you can imagine, I also completely agree with Jason’s plea for a 1/72 scale rendition, now that they have the CAD work done!
