nice pictures, thanks for shearing.
I can not manage German, but as understood the certain engine is taken from that Il-10 that is shown in color pciture, isn't it?
Are they going to have airborne Il-10? Could anyone help a bit with German,please?

I don't understand German, unfortunately. so I can't help you.
At present time, I have not further informations on magnetos. This looks the most likely explanation for that piece. But why should be magnetos easily removable?

Trying to translate:
Anfang Mai 1998 wurden aus dem Bestand des Deutschen Museums zwei Mikulin AM-42 Triebwerke dem Werftverein zur Restauration ?bergeben. In den n?chsten zwei Jahren wird eines dieser Triebwerke komplett zerlegt und wieder in den Originalzustand versetzt werden.

At the begin of May 1998 two Mikulin AM-42 were taken from the German Museum in Munich and brought to the Werftverein Oberschleissheim. In the next two years one of these will completely dismantled and brought back again to its original state.

There is no mention of where these came from or if the picture of the crashlanded Il-10 is in any way correlated.
