Many images of late 1941 shows LaGG-3s of 44 IAP, Leningrad area, and are said to be taken on one session.
All these aircrafts have some interesting characteristics in common:
  • the characteristic style of numbers;
  • the lack of fuselage star;
  • the characteristic striped camouflage, differing little from aircraft to aircraft;
  • the white spinner (excluding the rear plate, black);
  • being of early production (series 1/2/3).

Here is a general drawing of one representative aircraft.

These aircraft were of very early production.

Right:
Note the oval shape of the wingroot supercharger intakes, well different from the rectangular shape of mid production aircraft.
