Left:

photo of MiG-3 n.5 (blue?) that made a belly landing on German-held territory, unknown place and unit.

The photo shows a number 5 on the fin, partly overposed to a red star of limited size.

Left:

on this photo the cowling is still in position, but the antenna mast isn't visible, probably it wasn't installed on the plane when operational.

The lip of the air intake for the oil cooler seems unpainted. The pipe for the recovery of inert gas isn't installed.

Below:

two screenshots of a footage made by a German photographer. It is not clear what the dots on the side are, perhaps splatches of mud. On these photos we see the red stars, of which the one on the tail has a thin black outline, and some details of the number that wasn't of uniform color; it looks as if it was painted with a lighter color, white or very light blue, and then oversprayed with a darker shade, supposingly blue.

The tail wheel doors are of the early type, with a cut for the wheel; they are often associated with wing consoles without slats on their leading edge.
