R-5 camouflaged transport plane

One of the most photographed R-5 is this camouflaged one utilized as transport plane and shown in a wartime movie. The plane is without armament, and equipped with transport containers under the wings.

Markings and camouflage are typical of the period mid 1941-mid 1943. The use of semigloss paint is evident. It's unclear if the tip of the spinner is painted with a different color.

On many of the photos on the ground, the plane appears without the upper engine cowling panel, but it appears regularly installed on the photos in flight.
