The illustrated aircraft was flown during 1942 by V.V. Rybalko
of 122 IAP, the same pilot that previously flew the white aircraft with
a red arrow and the slogan "Za Partii Bolshevikov" (For the Bolshevik Party).
An interview (in Russian language) to this pilot is published at http://www.iremember.ru/pilots/rybalko/rybalko_r.htm
(in Russian) and at http://www.sovietwarplanes.com/Rybalko.htm
(English translation).
Its characteristics look to be:
-
late type with slats, without radio mast;
-
green/dark green camo, modified with black at least on the stabilizer top,
the back, the left wingtip and the rear part of the spinner; other black
repaintings could be speculated on the wing roots, the right wingtip and
propeller blades;
-
a black repainting is visible in front of the windshield, slightly extending
on the clear surfaces too;
-
a green repainting is visible on the ventral cooler side;
-
canopy frames look white, probably due to an uncomplete repainting over
a winter scheme;
-
a slogan, apparently "za rodinu", is written on the side;
-
red stars are on the tail and under the wings (on a rather inner position),
but not on the fuselage (it looks repainted green);
-
the tail wheel is locked down, without doors.
