Drawing by Tapani Tuomanen

PR-5 was an airliner version with rounded section plywood fuselage accommodating an heated vane for four passengers and an enclosed pilot cockpit.

220 PR-5 were built in Z.241 in 1936-39 and over 40 P-5 were converted to PR-5 in 1940.

This photo shows a PR-5 still in operative conditon. The green/blue livery is evident, as the light (yellow?) 3 painted on its rudder and the stars under the wings, apparently with a thin white or silver outline. It's not clear if there were red stars on the uppersurfaces too; being absent from the tail, it is likely that they conformed to the prewar use whatever is the date of the photo.

Note the small ski on the tail skid. The front of the spinner appears worn and shows the metallic surface.

An image of another PR-5 in green/blue livery, wrecked after the German invasion in 1941. The red star without any outline is visible on the rear fuselage, apparently closer to the tail.
