Drawing by Tapani Tuomanen

This profile is an interpretation of this image, representing a plane with a recognizable banner of the VVS painted on its tail, notoriously blue and yellow.

We can't see any demarcation line between the yellow on the tail and the predominant color of the plane, so we can assume that it was yellow.

The upper surface of wings is clearly uniform yellow (there are shadows of the struts on the lowe wing, projected by the high reflective metallic nose), while a dark painted outline is clearly visible on the lower wing, and perhaps on the upper too. Nothing is known on the lower wing surface, that was represented as uniform yellow.
