The Polish firm Parts
makes
an apparently good photoetched sheet for 1/72 RPM kit.
It looks good, but I've not used it, partly because I didn't know it when I began the model, partly because my scarce feeling for photoetched parts. |
The New-Zealand firm Falcon produces a 1/72 vacuformed canopy,
that fits on the Red Star/Emhar kit.
It is inserted in their set Clear-Vac CV-024 alongside many other canopies for the most famous Soviet aircrafts of WW2. The canopies are extremely clear and well moulded, even if some of the kits for which they fit are obsolete. The release of another sheet (part 2) is expected for the near future. |
The firm Cutting Edge produces a resin cockpit interior for the ICM
MiG-3, 1/48.
It is surely a good set, but I would observe that the technical drawings
of the MiG-3 show that a large amount of space should remain between the
tube strut and the inner face of the side panels, and this could suggest
to take in consideration the use of the original strut of the ICM kit,
maybe detailed with some pieces from the side walls of this sheet.
|
The firm Fusion
produces a resin propeller and spinner to improve the 1/48 ICM kit. Here
we see a comparison between the kit's propeller (light) and the resin one
(dark).

The sheet DD32001 shows five late version aircrafts, all described
in the profile pages of this site too;

views, and written comments about the photos from which the profile is
taken. This demonstrates a good and original research work.
